Chair One Fitness is a comprehensive chair exercise program designed for individuals who have complications standing during a fitness regimen. It's a fun chair workout done to music and encourages everyone to just keep moving (while seated).

Who Is Chair One Fitness For?
This class is open to anyone of any age. Classes are low impact and can be customized to be high, moderate, or low intensity based on the fitness of levels of those attending the class. Private sessions or group classes are 30-60 minutes depending on the fitness level of the attendees. Below is just a short list of who would be an ideal participant.

- Senior citizens -- active adult community, assisted living facility, memory care, independent living facility, nursing home, in-home
- Medical limitations--- stroke, amputation, short-term injury
- Wheelchair-bound people
- Balance issues -- vertigo, osteoporosis
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Chronic pain-- gout, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia
- Pregnancy and postpartum
- Parkinson's disease
- Dementia
- Obesity
- or anyone that may not have any limitations and just wants to try a different type of low impact work out.

Equipment Needed
All you need for class is yourself AND a sturdy chair or your wheelchair. That's it! No extra equipment needed. Class is done totally seated. Acceptable chairs are noted in the picture on this page.
