What is Medical Exercise?
Medical Exercise Training is where we bridge the gap between healthcare and fitness by developing safe and effective conditioning programs for clients with stable medical conditions. Through exercise we help manage your health and medical conditions. Our clients are medically stable and cleared for exercise by a medical professional (ie... your Doctor/Physical Therapist/Chiropractor/Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner). Medical exercise is not a replacement for physical therapy, a chiropractor, or physician.

FAQ's
- What's the different between a Personal Trainer and Medical Exercise Specialist? A Personal Trainer creates an exercise program for people that may or may not have health conditions but are asymptomatic (have no symptoms). A Medical Exercise Specialist creates an exercise program for people with medical conditions that are symptomatic (have symptoms). Medical Exercise Specialists help people manage their medical conditions with exercise.
- Do you work with older people? Nurse Michele works with adults (of any age) that have been medically diagnosed with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and/or diabetes.
- Where is your office? Nurse Michele currently does not work out of a gym or studio. Programs are offered as 1-on-1 in your home or virtually online via Zoom. Nurse Michele is based in New York and makes 1-on-1 home visits in Queens and Nassau County. There is an additional travel fee if you live outside of those 2 areas.
- Do I have to live in New York to participate in a Just Keep Moving program? No you do not! All programs offered have a virtual option so you can live anywhere on planet Earth and participate in a program.
- Do I need a doctor's order? In most cases I do require a short clearance letter from a medical professional (Doctor/Chiropractor/Physical Therapist/Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) for you to exercise prior to us starting a medical exercise program. Your doctor is part of Medical Exercise Training from the very beginning.
